The Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, invites applications for two Assistant Professors in Economics. These are six-year tenure-track positions, with a mid-term review after three years. The expected start date is September 2027. Each position will be advertised separately.
This ad is for the Applied Microeconomics position, and we particularly welcome candidates with research interests in labor, inequality, health, crime, and education. The successful candidate will join a vibrant applied microeconomics group with broad expertise across these and related fields, offering many opportunities for intellectual exchange and collaboration.
Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in Economics. Research potential will be the key selection criterion, and the successful candidate is expected to conduct research suitable for publication in highly ranked economics journals.
The teaching load is minimal; English is the primary teaching language.
