Assistant Professor in Macroeconomics

The Economics Department at the University of Alicante invites applications for one position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) starting in September 2026.

We are looking for candidates in the area of Macroeconomics. Candidates are expected to conduct high-quality research in this field and to show commitment to excellent teaching. The position comes with a reduced teaching load.

Applicants are required to hold a Ph.D. degree in Economics or related field by September 2026. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The group is very collegial and has a strong focus on high-quality academic research and teaching. Our faculty regularly publishes in the top journals in economics, secures research funding from regional, national, and international bodies, and supervises a high-quality PhD program.
