Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships
The Center for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF) and the Department of Economics and Statistics (DISES) of the University of Naples Federico II invite applications from candidates of any nationality for the following Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships, starting in the Summer of 2027:
(i) one or more Post-Doctoral Fellowships funded by the ERC Consolidator Grant “Beliefs, Information, and Markets” (PI: Antonio Rosato). These positions are directed at candidates whose fields of research are economic theory, behavioral economics, experimental economics, and/or industrial organization. Each fellowship lasts 2 years, renewable if mutually agreed;
(ii) one Post-Doctoral Fellowship funded by the FIS (Fondo Italiano per la Scienza) project “Insights into Audit Risk: The Role of Governance and Perceptions in Tax Enforcement” (PI: Chiara Lacava). This position is intended for candidates conducting research in public economics, political economy, or macro public finance. Expertise in text-as-data methods would be regarded as an additional asset. The fellowship lasts 2 years.
The Post-Doctoral Fellowships are designed for candidates who have recently completed their PhD or are going to complete it by the Summer of 2027. Applicants should clearly indicate which of the two projects they wish to be considered for; candidates whose research fits both projects may apply to both.
Knowledge of Italian is not required for the positions. Successful candidates are expected to pursue an independent research agenda, to contribute to the research activities of the project that funds their position, to publish their research in top peer-reviewed journals, and to actively contribute to the intellectual environment of CSEF and DISES, including their seminar series and workshops. Post-Doctoral Fellows are welcome to contribute to graduate teaching.
CSEF and DISES are closely integrated and located in common premises at the University of Naples Federico II. CSEF is a research center directed by Marco Pagano, and is a joint venture of the University of Naples Federico II, Bocconi University and the University of Salerno. DISES is directed by Antonio Acconcia and offers undergraduate, Master's and PhD Courses in Economics and Finance.
